Prior to this event I never dealt with this butcher. In America,
unfortunately the local butcher is a rare luxury. It amazes me how or
why it gets decided by American society which professions are
eliminated without cause. Years ago the local butcher was valued in
society and they were usually well compensated too.
Supermarkets reign,
And most people seem to prefer to shop in supermarkets.
It's not confined to America.
If you have a local buttcher and want to keep him/her you should make sure
you shop there and get all your friends to do the same. If s/he doesn't have
customers the business will fold, it's nothing to do with society but with
individuals. The consumer has the ultimate power.
