adult emus (& somehow i don't think i could convince Tom we

Depends on the emu. ;-)
although, one fell in love with my dad one time & followed him around all
day to the point where it became ridiculous. i think it was his grey hairy
jumper, and a bit of cross-species confusion due to living in an unnatural
environment.
