age of a hen?

How can you tell how old a hen is?I was thinking maybe by the comb is one
way?I have one young hen and the comb is small and just developing.My other
hen is older and the comb is fully developed,but flopping over .Can this
tell me anything of age or condition?

If you have a hen with a comb that is flopping over then you have others ... than just the Light Sussex- cos Light sussex have upright combs:) ...
