If the birds were from a unit at the end of their lay -- they are at the end
of their lay
That is why they are displenished at, usually, 2 years or so.
They are spent - in the following year they may lay a bit but then they
stop.
While they may mooch around for a year or so before, usually, dying of egg
peritonitis they are only rarely reliable layers from this source
However dehydration is a serious problem and will cause birds to stop laying
Provide them with a great deal more moist shade
One is laying outside under a
tree. How do I get her to lay in their house.
Make sure the house is suitable -- cool, dark with the nestbox away from
light
Then shut her in for a couple of days
What are you feeding?
Battery birds have a VERY high feed requirement -- scratch and range are too
poor a quality feed for them and if they have come to the end of their own
resources then they have to stop.
They need ad lib layers ration without any whole grains
