Chicken sitting duck eggs

My muscovy hens laid their eggs in the chicken house. One hen keeps
collecting their eggs, and runs the ducks out. She's now sitting on 20
fertile duck eggs. At first both the duck and chicken were sitting on two
separate nests of duck eggs, but the hen stole one egg at a time until the
duck was sitting on one egg, and I redistributed the eggs, so the chicken
had one, and the duck the rest. That wasn't good enough for the chicken, so
she swapped nests with the duck, and ultimately stole the duck's last egg.
Now the duck is laying (NOT IN HER NESTBOX I MADE FOR DUCKS, but in the
house CHIMNEY!)

I think something went awry.
