Do the birds know which eggs are still growing like they should?
Yes
A bird will eject eggs that are infertile or the chicks have died.
Since ducks, turkeys, and chickens all have different hatching
lengths, will the assorted 'moms' keep sitting on the later eggs or
should I be ready with the incubator when I see the first chicks?
The previous bit was so mixed up but if you have birds sitting on eggs of
mixed ages you will have youngsters at all sorts of stages of development.
The trigger to leave the nest is live young.
Whether any will survive such a mix who knows,
The different species all required different conditions to incubate - you
are not giving any of them the ability to control their conditions properly.
