From the temperature of the eggs, at least an hour.
hmm - that is 'not' off the nest
That is taking a break, stretching her legs and getting some grub
Off her nest is 6 - 12 hours or more
How consistent does the temperature need to be on eggs? These were
basically cold as the air. I figured cooling that much would kill them.
Was I wrong? She was in the next nest box over, on some different eggs.
Eggs can be cooled for some time as long as she returns in time.
But it sounds like she was distracted by another nest and maybe had not been
incubatiing either properly
Another pitfall of not removing the bird at the beginning of the set.
What vaccinations do you NEED?
I just prefer to have the marek's and coccidiosis, because I don't feed
medicated feed at all. For 12 cents a chick per, it seems valuable
insurance. I have goats, so I'd rather not have chicks get coccidiosis
and give it to the goats.
Can you share a delivery?
