I have noticed some birds pick some really wierd laying places..
I sometimes wonder why would a chicken goose or turkey choose such a place
I have a 20 acre poultry farm in southeastern Arizona, near Elfrida.
I have relocated the water heater from inside a stairwell to the patio and have also made an area for the washer, dryer, a utility sink, and a dishwasher.
I've had hens come on the patio and lay eggs in the sink, Some have tried to lay ontop of the water heater, others, have made nests in the corner of the patio. One Turkey insisted on laying eggs in the laundry basked. I had the laundry basked ontop of the dryer, looked outside and saw the turkey in hte laundry basket. Some hens have also liked the laundry basked or a pile of clothes ontop the dryer that was waiting to be washed...
Geese tend to like junk piles. I had a pile of junk with some old tarps, pipes, and lumber.. the goose incorporated hte tarp pieces into her nest.
what strange places do your birds use ??
