Want to feed and water quail at night to make them less imprinted on
humans. Quail to be used for restocking. For my flashlight what
color light should I use which will make me least visible to them.

people say a red light does the job.

Chickens do see the red spectrum however.
There is all sorts of research on light sensitivity in quail and other birds
if the OP cared to use google.
and a few hours trawling through all the info to get the answer he requires.
Mind you - any keepers of quail I know would tell you that quail do not
imprint unless you work extremely hard at it.
Pheasants, quail and other stock of similar types are perfectly capable of
taking sustainance from humans without it becoming an issue according to
most stockmen I know
