Hi, All!
I was looking for something in the archives and the numbers did not
add up. I know that our group was started before what Google shows.
What year? And where did the OLD archives go? Where can I find the
old archives? Any takers?
Google took over from Deja who held archives then.
As there is no "place" for usenet to exist maybe they were just lost?

Do you remember when we actually started?
1996 wasn't it?
I just found this
http://www.faqs.org/ftp/usenet/news.announce.newgroups/sci/sci.agriculture.poultry
Unfortunately I think the person who set this up insists on wasting so much
time winding up all the AR's, swearing and other such rubbish that he
spends most of the time in my kilfile. Shame that he cannot just discuss
poultry, as he is very knowledgeable.
Where would I find our
charter? It used to be posted every now and then.
Its on that page.
Also, what's with all this "garbage" being posted lately?
Its a factor of cross posting - Dennis is as much to blame as others. I have
asked Jim to be a bit more conscious of the X-posts [from uk.bus.ag] but
others insist on including us.
The best thing is to simply kilfile them as they appear. They are very
obvious and the group becomes clean again !
We used to
be such a nice group, now everyone is dumping here. We also used to
be a very high volume group. I think a lot of people are getting put-
off by some of these posts.
So many people like the forums.
I don't like the forum set up personally, But many do.
I'm griping, I know. Misery makes me mad. I lost four Pilgrim
goslings and one of my two ganders this weekend. Coyotes.
Oh -- thats horrid. SO sorry
I am glad we don't have them here!
The
drought and heat has them acting up - staying up until daylight and
coming up to the house and barn.
Hope your weather is better!
For once we are better than most of the UK which is beginning to drown under
intense flooding.
