hmm - that might do it in a running stream -- have you considered
asking the local authority to do a sample test?
Say yiou have seen some unsual algal blooms in warm weather or some
such <g> They can be fairly paranoid about water quality !!!
Contacting the authorities might not be a good choice. I dabble in
politics and have some political goals. Smiting the locals in a farm
community would be rather counter productive. Besides, almost
everyone on the council has farm interests. My family has farm
interests! Yes, I know its a sell out, but that is politics. And it
is killing our rivers! Something must be done, but on a national
level. Ooopss, sorry did not mean to get going on this subject..we
were talking about non-swimming ducks.. ;|
hmm - I thought successful local politics was about screwing all sides while
not being seen to !
<g>
Water quality is an important local issue.
How about a general sampling of all fresh water around the parish just as a
local ecological project to see how wonderful the water is !!!! <bright
innocent smile>
How about trying a floating decoy?
hmm - interesting idea!
thanks
There are some very lifelike decoys on the market, some swim, quack,
and they are poop-less too (oh, that's another thread).
