I'd just like to know who funds this kind of research and why they
think it's more important than, say, food and clothing and housing for
poor people...no offense intended, but some studies just blow me away.
Feeding poor people cost effectively is also worthwhile. The route to that
does include some very strange studies. I am picking some of the weirdest I
find just cos they are weird. Many are about good productivity, different
husbandry techniques, different feed responses, exploring different breed
characteristics, managing diseases. etc etc etc
Its more effective to give people the means to get out of poverty than
simply put clothes on their backs.
Food is part of that.
How people choose to spend the money is another issue altogether.
and not something for "this" newsgroup.
