Hello I am new to this group and new to keeping ducks. I have 2 white
campbells (1 m and 1 f)
They are about 4 months old but the male has started chasing my wife
and daughter and biting their feet and will not let them near the
female. (He has no problem with me) Is this normal behavoir for male
ducks or can we stop him doing this? Thanks

hi i have 2 campbell 1 male 1 female my male does that too you cant
really stop it.

Yes you can. All males need to know their place -- birds below humans in the
pecking order.

We have over 100 drakes here at certain times of the year and over 50
breeding drakes, and not one chases anyone, bites anyone large or small.
But then any drake that showed aggression here would be in the pot after 2
warnings as juveniles.
We - like many breeders do not breed from aggressive birds.
As to drakes that "charge" well I would not go back to that breeder.

It is NOT natural for them to behave in this way. Not even within ducky
groups. We have perfectly content groups of ducks and more than one drake.
If they are not given basic ground rules of behaviour then they get
confused.
