Guess what? I found their escape route from the new pen! After
getting the little one off to school, I and the baby (2 yrs.) plodded
the perimeter again. I found a little gully that ran through on one
end. The grass covered it so well that I would not have found it
except that I systematiclly placed one foot in front of the other toe-
to-heel. After putting a tent peg on either side, they could not push
the fence far enough to get under and finally quit trying.
They were happy to be herded to the barn tonight.
So, at least I have a way to keep them out of the road. I still wish
I understood why they were so determined to leave home.
Thanks for keeping me sane through this!
