would never have any more, they draw foxes
in) but I have found myself with a large Muscovy drake (rescue) I
call him Francis (Drake)
He is not aggressive at all, he is a darling, but if he was I would
pick him up as often as I could, walk around with him for 5 minutes
in my arms, stroking him all the time (which he would hate if he was
aggressive) It's all about who is most dominant. With my poultry it is
me ;-)
I've never had an aggressive drake. If I did he would be introduced
to my wellington boot the first time he tried it.
Actually I didn't even know that drakes *could* be aggressive towards
people. Mine have always seemed to know that it's a bad idea.

Muscovies 'can' be some of the worst if they get away with it!
Because of their size and claws I think - they can push and push and make
an impression.
Francis is *huge*, easily as big as a goose on shorter legs, 2006 hatch!
I am struggling to find some girls for him but when I do perhaps he will get
more aggressive towards me? Atm he does not realise how big he is and what
big claws he's got ;-)
He is just one big obedient boy.
I don't want to keep him on his own, so if he does get nasty tempered when
he gets some girlies, so be it. I will cope with it. Hey, if I can cope
with 2 x 12lb Atttilas at once I can cope with with a Muscovy.
Its very rare to hear of the mallard based drakes being aggressive toWhen I got the black rocks from my neighbour I also got some white ducks,
humans.
farmyard type, along with them, some drakes in there.
I can only say, again, that I have never had any aggression shown to me by
any drake that I have ever owned. To read about it amazed me. I really did
not know it was even possible for a drake to even think about attacking a
human.
