Re: losing poultry :(

Went outside yesterday to check my girls and boys and there in the

I have lost three young birds, a cockeral and a couple of pullets in
the last week and couldn't figure out how as there were no holes in
the yard and they were securely locked up and well fed. The run is
not covered and I did not think of eagles eating them. So I have told
hubby what I would like for Christmas now.

Oh well, such is life.

hmm - we had a couple of young buzzards working over us last month --
looking for anything out at dawn but fortunately they moved on during the
day. They got an old cockerel who had decided to roost out but did not take
other birds during the day.

Its hard when you have to confine the birds so much -[not to mention
expensive]- sorry to hear that Ginny.
