You are not going to make any friends here if you are not going to either take care of the birds or butcher them. Chickens are very interesting birds and make wonderful pets, or livestock, either way it is very cruel not to take care of them.
I'm no expert, but to answer your question: Chickens are social creatures; they fight to become dominant...i.e. they establish a pecking order; also, the dominate male claims breeding rights (not to say the others don't get in on the action from time to time). There are many interesting books on the topic.
If someone were to dump several roosters on me, I'd butcher the birds and put them in the freezer. Granted leghorns are scrawny, but nice and tender at 8 to 12 weeks old, and even at 6 to 12 months they are still good from frying. ... This is not an invitation to dump an birds at my house btw! <g>
