Amber Stars - Now months on

Hi all and a belated Happy New Year,
Have had the Amber Stars for some time now and they have settled down
with our one remaining docile Black Rock.
Settled down....well... more like taken things over. They are truly a
great bird and would recommend them to anybody who wants to keep
chickens in the garden. They are bright, friendly and very inquisitive
but without the 'in you face' attitude the Black Rocks had.
All but one of the six we bought will let you handle and stroke them
and they all now regularly gather around you and talk to you. (You
knowe what I mean)
Try and do something in their area oif the garden and they are there,
try and dig the veg patch, they're on the spade, under your feet and
around your legs.
One question though. We still feed mash, most of which seems to end up
on the floor. I am tempted to switch to pellets as we have ZERO
agression problems. Anybody have this breed and feed pellets? Any
problems?
Many thanks to all.
Nice to see this group active - so many others are dying.
.
