Thanks so much for your advice, we are starting to prep an area in the
garden which looks ideal, cover, space for roaming , out of the wind etc.
Once done and before the hens arrive I'll post again to let you know how
its going. Hen house by the way is not 2.5ft tall, that was my error, it
is 4ft tall and 2.5ft wide and a total of 5.5ft in length. May start with
2 hens. Loads of vent at the top of house, will put in perches and boxes
of the ground. Thanks again, Lee.

Perches will need to be 2" x 2" with rounded edges as not to damage their
feet.
