Re: Chicken roosts

I am in southern Arizona

my chicken cages are 8 foot wide by 8 foot tall. I have multiple pens.

I usually mount the roosts either 5 or 6 feet high. Birds usually fly
up on the 5 foot perch then up on the higher one. There are a few
birds that like roosting on the roof of the cage, and a few (the
peacocks) that do sleep either in a tree or on the roof of the house.

I raise:
chickens (brown free-range eggs)

These seem to be meat birds
They can be damaged with perches that are too high
