flooring for hens?

Hi all, I posted on the 3rd of Feb regarding how many hens, I have now
assembled the house, fenced off an area of about 9ft x 9ft. My questions
are this if , my local council have just cut up and shredded some trees that
came down in the winds and have left mounds of chippings like you have never
seen!, can I use this in the run and surrounding areas that the Hens will
be? (I think I might know the answer to that one already!). I think the
trees are Ash, Oak,
Beech and Elm. Just need to know as the wheel barrow is oiled up and ready
to go!!. Thanks, Lee.
