Hi All, Just out of interest, after I put down a membrane over the
floor where the hens are going , 1) How deep should I go with the
bark chippings? I know they like to scratch about a bit so I assume
that I'll have to go about a foot or so deep.(Deeper the Better?)
4- 6 inches is best
2)
Should I go for the easy option and just lay the membrane and bark in
the coop and not where they will spend the day which will be roughly
an area about 15-20ft square.
No -- its out where they are going to be that is most important, otherwise
this will become bare soil in a short space of time and then become a nasty
place for them to be.
Not really sure what to do for the
best. All the verys, Lee.
