Do you not believe that poor shells allow infection in and that this
kills of the chicks??

I know and have tried to explain to you (obviously not very well)
that all egg shells are porous, and will allow bacteria in if
enclosed in a sealed enviroment such as an incubator, but for this to
happen the bacteria needs to be present in the first place.

That has been proven to be not the case.
There are studies where eggs have been sat for a month in a bacterial soup
at incubator temperatures, but only poor shelled eggs [ie ones with some
sort of damage] have let bacteria in.
