Having just had to deal with YET another price increase in all the
feeds we buy for ourselves and sell to others I was wondering if
everyone else around the country [globe] is having the same
experience. We have had 6 price hikes in the past 9 months. What I sold layers
pellets per bag at this time last year is now a lot less than I can
buy wholesale by the pallet. The price I am having to charge per bag
now is horrendous. And that is with absorbing some of the extra
transport costs we got hammered with recently.
Curious to know what is happening elsewhere?
It's gone up every time I buy it. Price paid today was GBP 6.50/20 kg
Spillers layers pellets, 5.00/20 kg wheat.
I canot buy it wholesale for that!!!
By the ton pallet.
I now mix my food, 2 bags layers to one bag wheat to keep the cost
down a bit. I've not noticed its affected egg production
For yours [age and productivity now] its probably okay but for birds in production, even pure breeds, that would cause fatty liver syndrome.
Its slow but fatal
