Can I recommend having a look in at

http://www.downthelane.net/forum/index.php
http://www.createforum.com/exbatteryhens/index.php?mforum=exbatteryhens
http://www.kelseyinfo.co.uk/yabb/YaBB.pl

For all sorts of good UK-based advice on looking after hens. Each forum is a
fount of knowledge from keeping just a couple of hens to much larger flocks,
with all sorts of housing arranagements in all sorts of bits of the UK.

Thank you. Have had a brief look at all of them and will bookmark them and
have a better read later. I do look after a neighbour's poultry from time to
time but only the nice bits, not the mucky bits<g>. I have also been reading
this NG for about six months and have gleaned a lot of information here.
There's always more to learn.
