owl predator

we have a large oak tree near the pens where our chickens geese turkeys guineas and peacocks spend the night

recently an owl has been perching in the tree and swooping down and killing some adult chickens.

I am in the process or putting up a wire matrix in the area where the birds are at night and putting chicken wire on top of the wire matrix
I have 4x4's spaced every 10 feet and put heavy gauge wire between the 4x4's and the chicken wire is being tied to the wire support matrix.

anyone else have any ideas for keeping owls away ??
