Thanks for your reply and thoughts!

The information is not mine as I was in a rush to put up some info on
the site and took extracts from a Book I own on poultry.

That has serious copyright issues. Beware.
The information is still really awful, and the judgement to use it would put me off.

What kind of Irish 'flair' would you like?

An Irish feel about the site, history of poultry keeping in Ireland, the problems faced, the successes.
Pictures of chickens in the Irish countryside, what birds have you kept?

What sorts of birds you find, what sorts of keepers are there. - is this just domestic or commercial as well?
Find out from the Poultry Clubs what information they have for Irish groups.
Find out from the agricultural press whats going on.
Find out from the Shows who holds poultry classes, get hold of their secretaries and offer to give them publicity.
What Poultry clubs are there?

People will eventually find you but its your idea to have an Irish site, so presumably you know about Irish poultry scene??
A website needs to be dynamic, its about what you are giving the casual visitor, not what they give you.

Forums can take an age to get going, there needs to be something to talk about.
Simply being online does not create information, you have to go out and find it.
An empty site is always a problem.

good luck
