You know, it is truly odd to read of the death of Crick. It wasn't that
long ago that I first learned about Crick and Watson and saw the pictures
of these relatively young men with the great DNA structure. Somehow they
gradually grew older and due to some synaptic error (?) in my mind were
just turning 40 something. A couple of years ago I was really shocked to
find how old they really were. The 50th anniv of the publication of their
theory is both "recent" and "ages ago" in science.
