ID? Fused vert. near Red River

Hello,

My friend has a 500+ Texas ranch bordering the Red River. He has been
generous in letting me collect many great ammonites, crinoids,
bracheopods etc.

I recently found what appears to be a fused section of vertebrae that
I would like to identify. It's size is like a half of a pretty big
baked potato. I have several pictures available and would like
recommendations on who to contact for help.
