Time passes. Things change. Loudmouths on all sides lose hold
of their constituencies. The more folks on all sides become
willing to listen to each other, the more likely acceptable
compromise becomes.

We can either spend the time between now and the blessed day of
consensus bemoaning the intransigence of the other side, or we
can show willingness to give real consideration to those with
whom we disagree.
