Could be that I don't understand that term. Homo sapiens neandertalensis
    did not evolve into homo sapiens sapiens, nor did homo erectus
floresensis. There are several lineages of homo erectus some of whom
existed simultaneously. Only one particular group of homo erectus went
on to become homo habilis and only one went on to become homo sapiens
sapiens. That doesn't exclude those people as hominins. A correct
statement as I understand it is " a single lineage of hoinins evolved
into modern man", the question that is unanswered is which population
made the significant jumps?
