not stone tool edges thats for sure - too brittle, they would chip especially
when prying and twisting off the upper shell.
However, there is another technique I saw illustrated in the northwest USA
years ago using antler pieces like an awls forced into the oyster or clam
shell hinge .... pops the shells apart easily and then the user used the same
bone piece to pop the inards out into a basin. I believe there is a movie
showing this?
