And now for something completely different...

Just got my new Nat. Geo today with two articles
relevant to this group. One was the expected "Hobbit"
story and the other was the Dmanisi article complete with
the lovely reconstructions --including the old man.
Fantastic dates for the Dmanisi stuff, 1.75 to 1.80 mya
and an intriguing possibility about linkage. Someone made
the observation that the Hobbit stuff most closely resembled
the Dmanisi material --cranium pinched at temples as seen
from above and similar limb proportions. Any comment
about a possible connection?
