Let's suppose for the moment that
I accept all that (which, of course, I don't).
How would any of that affect the day-to-
day behaviour of the females with infants?
They still (according to you) sleep in trees
like chimps, carry their infants around like
chimps, climb trees to eat the same food
as chimps, spend about the same amount
of the time on the ground as chimps,
defecate and have sex, etc., in the same
way as chimps.

So what's the difference -- for the routine
day-to-day behaviour of the typical
australopith mother-with-infant?
