My point, obviously, wasn't that *you* had provoked him, but others.
There is a tendancy, especially on newsgroups where the only
discriminating features of individual posters is their name (obviously)
and subtle differences in style, to tar opponents in debates such as
these with the same brush. I'm not excusing that behaviour, but it
happens all the time with AAH proponents.
