Too True!
Someone just gave me a paper back book (9"x12") entitled "Croatia: Small
Country for a Great Holiday" no publication date but 1992 was the latest
date I could find in the text. Lots of sandy beaches in the pictures, they
didn't stress those high cliffs for diving into the rocks below.
It's too bad Su talked me out of adopting, with Mario and Algis I'd have
twins. Naturally Mario would be my favorite. Well, would have been.
There is a picture here with the caption:
"This karst vineyard near Primosten is an ode to work; every inch of arable
land has to be fought for (as stones are removed from the sparse karst
soil). That is why it has been chosen as one of the motifs decorating the
UN palace in New York."
There is a lot of Mario in there.
Anyway, Croatia and "great holiday" are a new mental image for me.
Stay safe, Mario!
Jois

Regarding entering water by plunge-diving. On rocky coast, jumping
: head-first is by far the most preferable way.
