A "splitter" breaks up paleo-hominids into 27 species, a "lumper" may
find 2-4 species.
I have nothing but good things to say about you, I was just making a
paleo-hominid joke.
By the way, you should look up Jim's "ecological gatekeeper hypothesis"
and compare it to the publication history of Su.
