Thankyou McLark, for pointing out,again, exactly the same reference
that I found a few days ago when I replied to Jois.

Perhaps you've noticed (though I might doubt it) that this thread has
quickly declined into the usual group in-fighting.

There's another English expression besides 'plonker' meaning roughly
what you quoted above.

That's 'wanker' which has a subtle difference - a purely self-centred,
solipsistic person who has a private enjoyment that (by its nature)
excludes everyone else. Sometimes, these self-centred persons add
decorations to their solitary passions, like:
