The above sentence is evolutionary nonsense.
Populations and species do not respond to
"situational factors in which they face extinction
.. . . by develop[ing] some kind of strategy to
survive . . "
Billions of populations die every year because
local conditions become adverse. Billions
more go extinct over longer periods for the
same reason. No one has EVER seen a non-
human population "develop some kind of
strategy to survive" a local or general change
in conditions.

Your grasp of evolution is much the same
as that of your dog -- or of any standard
