List the taxa which have evolved a radically
new form of locomotion. All of them will
necessarily have undergone huge
morphological modifications.

(a) Compare them with those taxa which -- even
when spanning several genera -- only underwent
'normal' evolution. The changes will be trivial in
comparison.

(b) While the process (of evolving a new form
of locomotion) will often (or usually) be unknown
or obscure, it is routinely believed to take place
over many millions of years and involve numerous
genera and species.

List the taxa which have adapted to complex
tool use . . . (only joking . . but you might
get my point).

List the taxa which have evolved highly
sophisticated language, enabling them to
develop extraordinarily varied cultures and
adapt to an enormous range of habitats.

I could go on . . .
