Are they sure they tried everything, having a trigger for food for me,
food for them, food for both??? If there is a food for both, this
should be used first, so that the chimp KNOWS that he can cause the
other one to get food (and that it has no ill effect on his getting
food, too). I wish someone would set up Phil's teach a chimp to swim
experiment with all the females on an island and all the males on
shore. THIS would be a significant finding, even though this altruism
one doesn't seem on track.
Oh, also, they need one where they get a shock when they feed the other
one, or perhaps a visible, limited amount of food that they can share
out...
Oh, well, next grant
