As usual, you miss the point. You can not assume behavior. You've fallen
into the anthropomorphic trap of assuming they're just like us. That
is completely unwarranted without either observation, experimentation, or both.

Until someone tried teaching sign language to a chimp, no one would have
thought a chimp capable of language like behavior.
