As far as the kid's concerned, I agree with you. It can't be good.
Short of Type II diabetes, the prospects for long-term chronic illness
(that can't be cured by a change of lifestyle) from childhood obesity
are less than the arthritis and permanent harm to his growth &
development. This isn't a story to be celebrated...
