Did you notice that chimps act in a cooperative group to ambush and
kill the members of an adjacent tribe. They did it despite it "not
making sense until they were at the apex of an undisputed territory"?
Hmmmm.
Of course, then you changed your tune to "every species of similar size
does it." but I've never read of wolves ambushing members of adajacent
packs and killing them. Perhaps you have a reference.
