I've been on moderated and unmoderated lists in the past, so it really
wouldn't make that much difference to me I guess. My point was that
there are moderated anthro lists out there already and the posting
activity is near zero. Here is a typical example (I think):

That is the first problem, who would be unbiased on this list at this
point in time? It would seem to me that whoever the moderator was,
would have to be a person that did not post on the list for fear of
looking biased on unpopular decisions. Something like this is going on
right now over at sci.arch.

Yeah, there are some that work I suppose. Take another example, the new
Palanth forum. Loons are quickly weeded out, but the discussions
generally last two or three posts and that's it, nothing like the
extended discussions here (of course many here do not stay on topic).
