New UFO Investigator Extends Realm of Expertise -- Lisa A. Shiel,
Michigan Author and Founder of Michigan UP Bigfoot Organization, Now
Certified UFO field Investigator
This month, Lisa A. Shiel completed an in-depth MUFON course to attain
certification as an official UFO field investigator. Last week, she
launched a formal MUFON investigation by interviewing a Michigan couple
about their unexplained aerial sighting over the state's Upper
Peninsula. UFO investigation extends Shiel's acknowledged expertise
into a new arena.
Lake Linden, Mich. (PRWEB) January 23, 2006 -- Bigfoot expert Lisa A.
Shiel has devoted years to researching anomalous creatures, UFOs, and
the scientific evidence concerning human origins from the fields of
archeology, anthropology, and ancient history. Now, she has completed
the Mutual UFO Network, Inc. (MUFON) course of study to earn her
certificate as an official MUFON field investigator. To kick-off a
formal MUFON investigation, Shiel recently interviewed an Upper
Peninsula couple who observed an unusual, as-yet-unexplained blazing
light in the nighttime sky on December 29, 2005.
Following years of detailed research into Bigfoot, UFOs, and human
origins, Shiel completed the first two volumes in her Human Origins
Series of novels - "The Hunt for Bigfoot" (2004) and "Lord of
the Dead" (2005) - both published by Slipdown Mountain Publications
LLC of Lake Linden, Michigan. She is currently in the final editing
stages of a nonfiction book - "Backyard Bigfoot: The True Story of
Stick Signs, UFOs, and Sasquatch" - scheduled for publication in
March 2006.
Shiel's research and recognition as a Bigfoot expert led to
interviews by major metropolitan newspapers and drive-time talk radio
shows. Last year, she founded the Michigan Upper Peninsula Bigfoot
Organization (MUPBO), the only group dedicated to Bigfoot research in
Michigan's extreme northern peninsula. Surrounded by thousands of
acres of dense, sparsely inhabited forests in a remote area of the
state, MUPBO's headquarters is located in quintessential Bigfoot
territory.
This year, Ms. Shiel extended her expertise into the UFO arena by
attaining certification as a MUFON field investigator. The MUFON course
included investigation ethics, interview techniques, classification of
sightings, common phenomena frequently reported as UFOs, photographic
and video analysis, reliability assessments, and investigation tools
and techniques.
