50kbp African/Semetic lines met Neandertals; just as the meeting of any
two different cultures today results in innovation, so it did this time as well.

Of course, there were times when they tried to mate, and I dont doubt that some few times that was successful, and would have resulted in dramtically different organization of the neural pathways, which would have opened up a world of innovation.
