It's worse than that. The gorilla does not exist as a scientific
entity prior to 1848. BUT this lack of fossils can be seen as
entirely a product of the quixotic nature of fossil preservation
and discovery which is yet another topic wet-apers are
prone to mangling beyond recognition.
