excuse? The guy is skinny, wears thermoinsulation, because he's in the
middle of a diving session (most likely). There is a learning curve to
diving without goggles, but the Moken kids (and some European)
traditionally dove without them, when foraging for seafood, trained to
see tiny objects far below surface.
As Marc says, we are no longer aquatic to the same extent as our
ancestors were, largely due to technology and trade.
