But, of course, an animal capable of doing this would pose no
threat to hominids of whatever variety, eh, Mario....

Of course, you are unable to understand any of this, so you are
bubbling without a sense. Rich citated the first part of the article
which
giives a false view on the whole situation (of course, this is WHY he
citated ONLY this part). Right where he stopped his citation there is an
explaination:
"...
In the past, there have been reports of crocodiles killing leopards,
but this is believed to the first time that the reverse scenario has been
observed.
Mr Brindley said: 'I asked many rangers in South Africa if they had
ever heard of anything like this and they all said no.
"It just doesn't make sense. The meat you get out of a crocodile is
just not worth the risk it takes a predator to acquire. The whole scene
happened in the course of about 5 minutes. Then the leopard was gone.
"I drove away, elated in disbelief. It may have been the most
amazing thing I've ever seen."
Ellie Rose, a reptile keeper at London Zoo, said: "Normally,
crocodiles are well able to defend themselves against attack. I can't
think
of any examples of this happening before.""
Which means (a translation for somebody who has problems with this),
it is a GREAT RISK for a leopard to attack crocodile. If cought in water
by
croc, it was observed numerous times that croc KILLED leopard. So WHY did
this leopard attacked croc?
The answer is (just like Mario always is saying) in the depth of
water. If leopard is standing on the bottom, he can EASILY (WITHOUT A
RISK)
kill even a croc. No problem. But it leopard is floating THEN he is a
sitting duck, HELPLESS, floating just like a big tree trunk which loggers
move wherever they want, with ease, even 10 trees at the same time, which
they will never be able to do if that tree is somehow sunk at the bottom.
You can move big ship if it is floating, if it is sunk you cannot move it
one millimeter.
This is why kangaroo drowns dingos in water. See the length of legs
of dingo and of kagaroo? Kangaroo has LONGER legs. So he can STAND in
DEEPER
water.
Jesus Christ, every animal UNDERSTANDS what big brained humans are
unable to understand. -- Mario Petrinovic

I think the point is that if a croc in the water isn't safe, a
defenseless hominid has got Buckley's chance...
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Jesus, you know what point is.
The point is that leopard in shallow water is just like on land.
SHALLOW water ISN'T water. The point is that leopard in deep water is just
a
floating duck. The point is that crocs AND humans in deep water RULE
leopard. -- Mario Petrinovic
Crocs maybe. Humans? Smart money's on the leopard but

I challenge Mario to fight a leopard in water. The leopard has sharp claws
on all four legs. Mario would be lacerated in very little time.

neither animal is equipped to do much more than swim in
those circumstances. You've no basis for saying a human would
prevail over a leopard. As for salt destroying fur???? Pribilof
**fur** seals were nearly exterminated because salt does such
a dandy job of destroying fur. Stop making stuff up. You just
look the fool.
